Daily maintenance and upkeep methods for deburring and wire drawing machines

As a key equipment in metal processing, the deburring and drawing machine requires daily maintenance and upkeep to ensure its performance, extend its service life, and ensure processing quality.

The following are detailed maintenance and upkeep methods:

After prolonged use, the cutting edge of the tool will wear out, affecting the deburring effect.

The texture inside the wire drawing mold will also deform or wear out with increasing usage.

Generally speaking, based on the amount of processing and the hardness of the processed material, it is necessary to check once every certain working time (such as every 100-150 hours of working for ordinary steel workpieces).

If it is found that the cutting edge of the tool has become dull, there are gaps, or the texture of the drawing die is blurred, and the size deviation exceeds the allowable range, it should be replaced in a timely manner.

Cleaning and lubrication: After each use, clean the metal debris and impurities on the cutting tools and wire drawing molds.

Specialized cleaning tools such as brushes, air guns, etc. can be used.

For cutting tools, a suitable amount of specialized tool lubricant can be applied after cleaning to prevent rusting and maintain the sharpness of the tools.

For wire drawing molds, attention should be paid to cleaning the textured parts inside the mold to avoid residual impurities affecting the quality of the next wire drawing.

Transmission components

If the belt is too loose, it will cause insufficient power transmission and affect the processing speed of the equipment; Loose chains may cause tooth skipping, which affects the accuracy of the equipment.

Generally, the belt should be inspected every 200-300 hours of work. If cracks or wear exceeding one-third of the original thickness are found on the belt, or if the chain links are loose or severely worn, they should be replaced in a timely manner.

Lubrication and fastening: Regularly lubricate the bearings, gears, and other components of the transmission system.

Use high-quality lubricating grease and lubricate according to the equipment manual at regular intervals (such as every 100-150 hours).

At the same time, check whether the connecting screws of the transmission components are loose. If they are loose, they should be tightened in a timely manner to ensure the stability of the transmission system.

clamp

Regularly check the accuracy of fixtures, including geometric accuracy indicators such as parallelism and perpendicularity.

For example, using measuring tools such as micrometers to check the parallelism of fixtures, the error should be controlled within the range specified by the equipment.

If the fixture accuracy is found to exceed the allowable range, adjustments or replacements are required.

Cleaning and maintenance: After each use, clean the metal shavings and dirt on the fixture to prevent them from affecting the clamping effect of the fixture.

For fixtures with moving parts, such as pneumatic or hydraulic fixtures, it is necessary to check whether the moving parts are flexible. If there is any jamming, they should be cleaned or repaired in a timely manner.

2、 Electrical system maintenance

Excessive accumulation of dust can affect the heat dissipation of electrical components, leading to overheating and damage to the components.

You can use a vacuum cleaner or compressed air tank to clean it at least once a month.

At the same time, check whether the cooling fan of the control cabinet is operating normally to ensure a good ventilation and cooling environment.

Line inspection: Check whether the wire connections inside the electrical control cabinet are secure, whether they are loose, damaged, or aging.

Especially in areas where equipment frequently vibrates, wires are prone to loosening.

Conduct a comprehensive line inspection at least once a year, and if any problems are found, repair or replace the wires in a timely manner.

electrical machinery

Under normal circumstances, the motor should run smoothly without any abnormal vibration or noise.

Use a thermometer to check the temperature of the motor casing, which should generally not exceed 40-50 ℃ of the ambient temperature.

If the motor temperature is found to be too high, the speed is unstable, or there is abnormal noise, it may be a motor malfunction and needs to be stopped for inspection in a timely manner.

Insulation inspection: Regularly inspect the insulation resistance of the motor to ensure good insulation performance.

Use an insulation resistance meter to check according to the requirements of the equipment manual. Generally, the insulation resistance should not be lower than the specified value (such as 0.5 megohms).

If the insulation resistance is too low, it may cause motor leakage and require maintenance or replacement of the motor.

3、 Work environment maintenance

The accumulation of metal shavings may enter the interior of the equipment and damage it; Oil pollution may cause operators to slip and cause safety accidents.

Control environmental temperature and humidity: Try to place the equipment in an environment with relatively stable temperature and humidity.

Excessive or insufficient temperature and humidity can affect the performance and service life of equipment.

For example, in humid environments, equipment is prone to rusting; In environments with excessively high temperatures, the performance of electrical components may decrease.

The ideal working environment temperature is generally between 18-25 ℃ and the relative humidity is between 40% and 60%.

4、 Lubrication system maintenance

If the liquid level is too low, it should be added in a timely manner; If the oil quality deteriorates, such as turbidity, discoloration, or impurities, the lubricating oil should be replaced in a timely manner.

Different types of lubricating oil may be required for different parts of the equipment, and should be selected according to the requirements of the equipment manual.

Cleaning lubrication system: Regularly clean the oil pipes, oil pumps, and other components of the lubrication system to prevent blockages.

Specialized cleaning solvents can be used to operate according to the prescribed cleaning procedures.

At the same time, check whether the filter of the lubrication system is clogged. If it is clogged, the filter should be replaced or cleaned in a timely manner.

5、 Regular calibration and accuracy testing

Professional calibration tools and equipment can be used to calibrate according to the standard procedures in the equipment manual, ensuring that the processing parameters of the equipment are accurate and error free.

Accuracy testing and adjustment: Regularly test the machining accuracy of the equipment, including surface roughness after deburring and texture accuracy after drawing.

Use roughness meters, profilometers, and other testing tools to compare the test results with the precision standards specified by the equipment.

If a decrease in accuracy is found, it is necessary to analyze the cause in a timely manner and make adjustments, such as adjusting the tool position, replacing worn parts, etc.
